This scarf was made by cutting a piece of prefelt slightly smaller than the width of the habotai scarf. Areas of the prefelt were plucked (or pulled) from the prefelt to create random open areas (holes). The ends of the prefelt were gently torn before felting. The prefelt is placed on top of the scarf stretching slightly to fit the width of the scarf. The scarf was felted with a sander, fulled by folding and dropping, and finished by rubbing on a glass washboard.
Materials: Boysenberry Habotai Silk Scarf, Ash Merino Wool Prefelt (16 1/2" x 78")
Finished size: ~ 11" x 70"
